I was running Mac El Capitan in Feb and now have Mac Sierra which is the only major change that I made that I can think of. I'm not sure what SC version I was running in Feb 22 2017, but am confident that it was up to date at that time with whatever version it was then. My question is: Did something change? Was 21:9 (3440x1440) resolution supported and then pulled? If so, why am I still seeing it as an option in the settings? Googling simply pulls up discussions that it never was supported, but I know that I played it at one time, and am pulling my hair out to find out how I was able to then, but not now. Today, I booted it up, updated to the latest version 3.15, and immediately saw stretched weird behavior (unplayable at 3440x1440). I have an Ultrawide 21:9 3440x1440 Monitor (Lg 34UC98-W) and at least in I was playing with 21:9 support at 3440x1440 resolution (see images). I'm not a frequent Starcraft 2 player, but enjoy the game.
